Mrs. J. M. Fowler, whose sickness we mentioned last week, died on Saturday afternoon about 3 o’clock. Margaret Parker, daughter of Stephen Parker, was born near Waynetown Sept. 5, 1834. She was married to Jesse M. Fowler Sept. 15, 1851, and died from paralysis July 10, 1897. She first had a paralytic stroke about three years ago and had a second one last September, from which she only partially regained the use of herself. The third attack came on Tuesday morning of last week, which ended in death on Saturday. She was a very exemplary woman, beloved by everyone who knew her. A husband, two sons and six daughters survive her. The funeral occurred at Pleasant Hill Christian Church on Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock, conducted by Elder D. Powell. Interment was in the adjacent church yard. - S
